We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Director of Financial Systems, Implementation & AI to lead the transformation of our global finance function. This role combines deep accounting expertise with advanced systems implementation and emerging AI capabilities to drive scalable, efficient, and insight-driven financial operations. This position reports to the VP Global Controller and is expected to come into our Munich office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

What You'll Do
  • Lead end-to-end implementation, optimization, and administration of financial systems, including ERP, procurement, expense management, treasury, commissions, consolidation, and reporting tools.
  • Partner with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to design and deploy scalable financial processes and controls aligned with US GAAP and international requirements.
  • Drive AI adoption within the finance function, including automation of close processes, predictive analytics, and intelligent workflow design.
  • Oversee system integrations across global entities, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and compliance.
  • Manage cross-functional and cross-border projects, including timelines, resources, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and maintain a finance technology roadmap aligned with organizational growth and strategic priorities.
  • Support statutory and audit requirements across multiple jurisdictions, including coordination with external auditors.
  • Establish governance, documentation, and internal controls over financial systems and data.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance finance efficiency and decision-making.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent required.
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial systems roles.
  • Strong foundation in US GAAP and experience with international finance operations.
  • Proven track record of leading implementations of systems such as NetSuite, ZIP, Navan, treasury management solutions, and commissions applications.
  • Hands-on experience or demonstrated leadership in deploying AI or automation within finance processes.
  • Experience working in a global environment with cross-border teams and regulatory considerations.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level presentations.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support global implementations.
  • Experience in high-growth or transformation-stage companies.
  • Familiarity with data architecture, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Experience with finance automation tools, workflow tools, AI-driven analytics platforms, and connected finance ecosystems.
  • Background in audit or public accounting is a plus.

Compensation Range
  • Annual Base Salary Range: €150,000–€190,000 EUR
  • Base pay depends on many factors, such as location, education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Kiteworks competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, and equity. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
