As the Director of Product Management for MFT, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution for our MFT product line. This is not just about moving files; it’s about architecting the future of secure, automated enterprise data exchange.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams across sales, support, engineering, and customer success to modernize MFT workflows, scale the product, enhance automation capabilities, and ensure our technical architecture meets the rigorous demands of global entities (GDPR, FIPS, SOC2, etc.). You will bridge the gap between deep technical protocol requirements and a seamless user experience that drives platform adoption.


What You'll Do
  • MFT Product Strategy: Define and execute roadmap for Kiteworks’ Secure MFT offering, focusing on scalability, high availability, and enterprise-grade automation.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with sales, customer support, success, and sales engineering to win complex technical RFPs and partner with Customer Success to drive deep feature adoption.

  • Technical Leadership: Deep dive into the "how." You will work closely with Engineering to optimize support for protocols (SFTP, AS2, HTTPS, PGP), API-first integrations, and cloud-native deployments.

  • Compliance & Security Excellence: Ensure the MFT product meets international security standards. You will be the internal expert on how MFT interacts with GDPR, NIS2, and other global regulatory frameworks.

  • Market Intelligence: Act as the subject matter expert for the market. Monitor the competitive landscape (e.g., Progress/MoveIT, Fortra/GoAnywhere) to ensure Kiteworks remains the premium choice for secure MFT.

  • Incorporate security and privacy requirements into product design, ensuring alignment with ISO 27001 and GDPR (privacy by design and by default).


What You'll Bring
  • Proven MFT Domain Expertise: You have 5+ years of experience specifically within the Managed File Transfer, Secure File Sharing, or Data Security space. You understand the nuances of file-based workflows and automation.

  • Technical Pedigree: You likely have a background in Computer Science or Engineering. You are comfortable discussing API architecture, encryption standards, and infrastructure scalability with senior architects.

  • Strategic Leadership: 8+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or "Principal" capacity. You know how to say "no" to distractions and "yes" to high-impact outcomes.

  • The "Growth" Lens: Unlike traditional MFT PMs, you look at MFT through a growth lens—how can we make it easier to deploy, faster to configure, and more intuitive to scale across a global enterprise?

  • Market Savvy: Deep understanding of the regulatory landscape.

  • Communication: The ability to translate complex technical capabilities into value propositions for C-level and customer-facing stakeholders.

Highly Desirable:

  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML applications for data classification or anomaly detection within file transfers.

  • Direct experience with MFT software.

Compensation Range:

  • Annual Base Salary Range: $185,000 - $200,000
  • Base pay depends on many factors, such as location, education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Kiteworks competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
