Other Requirements
Ability to meet Kiteworks, customer, and/or government security screening requirements for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
Kiteworks Background Check: This position requires passing the Kiteworks background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
What you’ll do
- Make Information Security Intuitive: Drive the IC work for data policy and classification solutions. You will design the "guardrails" that prevent human error in sensitive data handling, turning complex security protocols into frictionless, user-centric workflows.
- Systemic Architecture & Platform Evolution: Lead the UX strategy for migrating our legacy monolithic console to a modular app framework. You will define the navigation structures, patterns, and core components (design system) and partner with Product Management to address changes in platform administration.
- Mentorship & Design Operations: Mentor a distributed team of designers across the EU to foster a culture of craft excellence, and pull them into your initiatives as workload allows. Partner with the Design Director on the strategy and execution of key initiatives, be a key contributor to design critiques and improve team processes.
Who you are
- A Strategist: You don't just design screens; you apply systems-thinking to consider experiences as users traverse a multi-app platform. You draw from experience working on product for regulated industry where security and compliance are premier factors.
- An Enterprise Craftsman: You are curious and driven to maintain design consistency in a decentralized environment. You have experience constructing design systems and advocating for a componentized UI. You possess a refined visual craft but can prioritize functional utility over purely aesthetic richness.
- The AI-Forward Mentor: You lead by example and are eager to integrate AI tools into the design workflow to improve speed and quality. You enjoy coaching designers across different cultures and time zones.
What you’ll bring
- Education & Foundations: University degree in Design (HCI, Communication Design, etc.) or a related field. You have a deep command of design foundations, color theory, information architecture, and the application of usability heuristics.
- 8+ years of experience in Product Design in enterprise software.
- AI Integration: Experience and a strong curiosity regarding the use of AI to facilitate Design + PM + Dev collaboration and handoff.
- Communication: Fluent English
