About the position

As a Senior Data Analyst at Templafy, you'll play a pivotal role in interpreting and analyzing data to derive meaningful insights and support strategic decision-making. This role is central to our overarching data transformation initiative, and you will significantly influence laying the foundation for this transformation.

A key aspect of this role is collaboration with various stakeholders, including Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and data consumers such as Business Analysts. You will ensure that everyone is working together towards our common goals and that our data is being used effectively and efficiently across the organization. Templafy is building out our data capabilities to be more accommodating to our new strategies, by for example rolling out new data quality frameworks, dbt, and Purview data cataloging to support our already well-oiled data analytics platform on Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Azure SQL.

How we work

  1. Teams: The Data & Analytics team is nimble and empowered; and has interested parties across the entire company. Together with our Engineering teams, we live an agile mindset. Teams are self-organized and free to choose their process, but most use a flavor of Kanban with two-week sprints. We believe in lean principles - e.g., short feedback cycles and small batch sizes. All teams, including the Data & Analytics team, have full responsibility for the features they own. We work in a hybrid model where we spend at least three days in the office a week, as we like spending time together.
  2. The Data & Analytics Platform: Our platform is built as the single source of truth of all data sources in Templafy, and we ingest, transform, and expose data to all the different business stakeholders across the organization as a self-service solution.
  3. Data Tools: Our Platform is built on Microsoft Azure. We are rolling out dbt as our transformation layer, and we consume data in fit-for-purpose analytics tools like Power BI, Gainsight, Amplitude, and more. We believe that insights should be present where it fits the consumer.
  4. Learning: We believe in lifelong learning and encourage everyone to read books, attend conferences, and take courses and certifications. We want to invest in everyone’s personal and professional development, and therefore we provide the necessary resources to support this. Every sprint, we spend the last two days with explorative internal projects, and POC’s to foster innovation, and from time to time, we also host and speak at meetups.
