The Role
The IT Billing Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of software solutions related to SaaS billing, accounts receivable, credit collection, and ERP interfaces. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in IT billing, finance systems, or similar roles, and a proven track record in managing and optimizing billing platforms in a SaaS environment. This position requires a collaborative mindset, a strong understanding of financial processes, and a passion for leveraging technology to drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of SaaS billing software, ensuring accurate and timely billing processes.
  • Manage and optimize accounts receivable workflows, including monitoring outstanding balances and supporting credit collection efforts.
  • Coordinate the integration and interface between billing platforms and ERP systems to ensure seamless data flow and financial reporting.
  • Gather and document structured requirements from end-users and stakeholders; prepare clear functional and technical specifications for billing-related solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT, finance, and business teams to design and implement software solutions supporting internal billing and collection processes.
  • Monitor and control the operation of internal business processes from a technology perspective, focusing on billing and receivables management.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of projects to deliver business and technology goals related to billing, collections, and integration.
We're looking for someone who must have
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical discipline, with strong experience in IT billing, finance systems, or similar roles.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, for billing analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with DML and DDL activities on relational databases, particularly in billing or financial data environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and document process flows for billing, accounts receivable, and credit collection.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across IT, finance, and business teams.
  • Good knowledge of the English language (both written and spoken).
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology for software implementation projects.
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite (Confluence, Jira) for project tracking and documentation.
  • Experience with MySQL or similar databases, especially in a billing or financial context.
  • Experience with Java or similar programming languages is a plus.
  • Understanding of web programming fundamentals, such as REST and HTTP, for system integrations (e.g., between billing platforms and ERP systems).
  • Master of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
