The Role
We are seeking a Senior Onboarding Specialist to join our Customer Onboarding team and take ownership of implementing Soldo’s spend management platform for new customers.
This role is critical in helping customers realise value from Soldo from day one. You will lead the end-to-end onboarding process, from understanding customer requirements and designing platform configurations to delivering training and integration setup. You’ll also act as a key partner to our Professional Services team when delivering more advanced onboarding experiences, such as custom workflows and integrations.
You will work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Pre-Sales, and Product teams to deliver a high-quality onboarding experience, ensuring new customers are fully enabled and positioned for success.
This role is ideal for someone who is customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and passionate about optimising business processes through technology.
Responsibilities:
- Design tailored platform configurations that align with each customer’s business processes and operational requirements.
- Configure platform resources, permissions, approval flows, and budgets as per implementation scope.
- Set up platform environments and implement agreed configurations within project timelines.
- Set up standard integrations between Soldo and third-party systems (e.g., ERP, accounting software), including authentication, field mapping, and testing.
- Create test or demo environments for validation and training purposes.
- Deliver administrator training to support ongoing management of spend processes and end-user training sessions to support daily platform usage.
- Support the transition to Customer Success post-implementation with clear documentation and stakeholder handover.
- Lead project kick-off sessions to align on onboarding goals, timelines, and success factors.
- Co-develop and maintain a project plan to guide configuration, implementation, and go-live.
- Conduct project reviews to evaluate onboarding experience, identify risks, and outline ramp-up support.
- Partner with the Professional Services team for advanced configuration and custom integration needs.
- Act as a product expert to support Pre-Sales Solution Consulting in onboarding scoping when needed.
- Identify and escalate blockers that could impact onboarding delivery or customer satisfaction.
We're looking for someone who must have:
- Proven experience in an onboarding, implementation, or technical account management role in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Strong working knowledge of platform configuration, user provisioning, permission models, and business process mapping.
- Ability to deliver effective training and enablement to both technical and non-technical users.
- Familiarity with integrating SaaS platforms into customer tech stacks (e.g., accounting, ERP, HRIS).
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent onboarding projects.
- Detail-oriented and highly organised, with strong documentation and stakeholder management.
- Comfortable with light technical work including configuration, testing, and troubleshooting standard integrations.
- Experience working with finance teams and understanding of finance-related workflows (T&E, procurement, approval chains) is a plus.
- Collaborative and customer-first mindset; thrives in cross-functional environments and fast-paced settings.
