New Ventures is where Qogita works out what comes next. The team explores opportunities across new geographies, product categories and software verticals, and turns the strongest into real businesses.

As a Founder in Residence, you'll take high-conviction bets from zero to one. You'll own the full arc, from spotting the market to first commercial traction, within a 6–12 month window. If a venture works, you'll keep running it until it's ready to become part of business as usual.

This is a role for someone who has built before and wants to do it again with the backing of a scaling company and a team that moves fast.
  • Market mapping: Run rigorous market assessments, combining structured desk research with direct customer discovery, to find where real, addressable demand exists.
  • Zero-to-one execution: Build and ship an MVP end-to-end and independently, from sourcing through to first sale - without a playbook to follow
  • Business unit ownership: Drive the new venture through its early operational lifecycle, acting as founder, operator, and commercial lead, owning its growth until it can move into standard operations.
  • Customer insight: Lead ongoing user discovery to pressure-test assumptions, surface unmet needs, and sharpen the product and commercial direction
  • Kill or scale: Make honest calls on what's working. Double down where there's traction and move on quickly where there isn't
  • Commercial traction: Own the path to first revenue - define the sales motion, work the deals, and close them
  • Founded a company or built a function at a very early-stage startup (under 20 people).
  • A concrete track record of building something from nothing, not just contributing to it.
  • Commercially driven and can sell: you open doors, run a process and close.
  • Your default is to talk to customers rather than theorise about them. Customer discovery is your instinct, not your last resort.
  • Comfortable with numbers: you can build a simple model, size a market and let the data change your mind.
  • You communicate clearly in writing and in person, and can take leadership through a decision in a short memo.
  • Background in STEM, Finance, Economics, or Law and Politics.
  • Structured enough to run operations on your own and don't need process handed to you.
  • Relentlessly resourceful and find a way when there's no obvious one.
