This is an opportunity for someone who can take a video from idea to finished cut on their own. You'll shoot and edit, and you'll do both well. Ads, social videos, YouTube, product content, whatever the work needs, you're the one behind the camera and in the timeline.
You get what makes a video work, not just what makes it look nice. You know a weak hook loses people in the first two seconds, you understand how a video for a Meta ad differs from one for YouTube, and you cut for the platform rather than making one thing and hoping it fits everywhere. You're social-media native, you watch what's working now, and you can turn a rough brief into something people actually stop and watch.
We're a small, fast team having a lot of fun building with AI and automating the grunt work, and we want someone who's excited to use those tools to make more, and better, than they could alone.

- Shoot and edit video end to end, from planning the shoot to delivering the final cut
- Make ads that perform: strong hooks, tight pacing, and a clear reason to keep watching
- Create social-first video across the formats we use, from short vertical content to longer YouTube pieces, as well as product demos and explainers
- Deliver polished edits in multiple aspect ratios (16:9, 1:1, 9:16), optimised for each platform
- Repurpose longer videos and other content into sharp, standalone clips, using editorial judgement to find the moments worth keeping
- Source inspiration and spot emerging trends, always tying creative ideas back to what actually moves the business
- Build the story and structure the piece so there's a real idea behind the shoot, not just nice footage
- Keep a steady output going without letting quality slip, and build a library of variations to test
- Develop a point of view on why some videos work and others don't, and bring that to what you make next
- You can both shoot and edit to a high standard. This is a hands-on craft role and you own the whole process
- Real understanding of what makes video work on social: hooks, pacing, retention, and how each platform differs
- Camera knowledge, with a strong grasp of lighting setups, shot composition and framing, lenses and focal length
- Extensive editing expertise (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or similar) with a strong eye for aesthetics, pacing, and narrative clarity
- A strong sense of rhythm, with the taste to pick music that carries the tone and flow
- Comfortable across the wider editing toolkit: software, plugins, and workflows
- Basic sound know-how for clean in-house shoots
- Organised, with disciplined file management: clean project structures, sensible version control, and reliable backups
- Social-media native, you keep up with formats and trends and know what's trending right now
- Comfortable working fast and independently, taking a loose brief and running with it
- Excited by what AI can do for video production, and keen to build it into how you work
