The Finance team owns Qogita's financial control and reporting infrastructure - keeping the books accurate, the reconciliations clean, and the month-end close running on time across multiple entities.

Your goal as a Finance Intern is to keep Qogita's financial data accurate and well-organised, contributing to the full accounting cycle from data entry through to month-end close.

What you'll do
  • Data entry: Process financial transactions into NetSuite and prepare data files for upload to the accounting system, ensuring accuracy at every step
  • Reconciliations: Execute bank, customer, and intercompany account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
  • AR management: Run the monthly buyer reconciliation process across multiple entities, investigate mismatches, and maintain the AR aging tracker
  • Revenue validation: Produce accurate validation of manual invoice corrections and seller/buyer credit notes, including VAT treatment and intercompany impact
  • Month-end journals: Prepare and post depreciation, FX, and other month-end journal entries, reporting directly to the Finance team
  • Reporting: Build basic financial reports and summaries in Excel, reviewing inputted data for completeness and accuracy
  • Cross-functional support: Contribute to daily operational tasks across the Finance team, working towards a clean close each month
