Qogita is based on an innovative order allocation algorithm that not just enhances how B2B commerce is done, but changes it all together. The outcome: 10-20% in potential savings for literally any player across the packaged goods value chain.
Who are you?
You are an experienced DevOps engineer who knows how to navigate AWS and Datadog while prioritizing simplicity. With your “get things done” attitude, hands-on approach, and ability to communicate effectively, you contribute to the success of any team while creating a positive working environment.
Who will you be working with?
You will collaborate closely with our product and platform teams, including software engineers, and product managers. You will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment where innovation and continuous improvement are highly valued.
What you would be working on?
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a member of our platform team by playing a critical role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of our platform. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing our infrastructure.
• Infrastructure Management: You will be responsible for managing and scaling our infrastructure on AWS. This includes provisioning and configuring EC2 instances, setting up load balancers, managing networking components (VPC, Route53, etc.), and optimizing the overall architecture for high availability and fault tolerance.
• Deployment and Continuous Integration: You will design and implement efficient deployment pipelines using industry best practices. This will involve utilizing tools such as AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeDeploy, and Github. You will automate the deployment process to ensure smooth and reliable software releases.
• Monitoring and Alerting: You will set up and configure monitoring and alerting systems using Datadog. This includes defining and tracking relevant metrics, creating dashboards, and setting up alerts to proactively identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks. You will work on optimizing the performance and availability of our systems based on the insights gathered from monitoring data.
• Infrastructure as Code: You will contribute to the development and maintenance of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform. This will enable reproducibility, scalability, and consistency of our infrastructure across environments.
• Security and Compliance: You will collaborate with other engineers to ensure that our infrastructure and applications comply with industry standards and best practices. You will implement and maintain security measures such as encryption, access controls, and vulnerability scanning.
• Troubleshooting and Incident Management: You will be involved in troubleshooting production issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures. You will participate in an on-call rotation to address any infrastructure-related incidents promptly.
• Collaboration and Documentation: You will actively participate in team meetings, providing technical guidance and collaborating with colleagues to improve processes and share knowledge. Additionally, you will document the infrastructure architecture, deployment processes, and standard operating procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.
