As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn’t changed — we’re here to stop breaches, and we’ve redefined modern security with the world’s most advanced AI-native platform. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day and this traffic is growing daily. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We’re also a mission-driven company. We cultivate a culture that gives every CrowdStriker both the flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. We’re always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role:

The Ingestion team within GDI (Get Data In) group is responsible to develop and maintain a multi petabyte ingestion platform for 3rd party data powering fast growing next generation SIEM. The platform is already handling over 1 PB of daily ingestion and looking forward to evolving the platform to handle more than 2 PB per day in the next 12-18 months while maintaining high availability, low latency and reasonable COGS.

As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to provide significant technical direction and produce a system that can support high throughput low latency data ingestion deployed across multiple regions. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver fast, resilient, and scalable systems to support multiple petabyte data ingestion.

This role is targeting candidates located in Bangalore and willing to work in a hybrid environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and own the scoping, design, and development of major features and platform-level initiatives within the ingestion team to solve open-ended, complex distributed systems problems.

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members through rigorous code reviews, design reviews, pairing, and documentation.

  • Drive hands-on operational excellence by monitoring and following up on features released to customers and troubleshooting critical customer issues.

  • Collaborate with your peers across teams on defining and delivering new solutions, design documents, technical talks and improving our internal documentation.

  • We are a remote first company so you must bring your excellent verbal and written communication skills to bear when you are working with teams across the globe.

What You’ll Need:

  • A passion or personal interest in distributed systems and curiosity of how our running systems are doing.

  • 15+ years experience in software development in general and the ability to juggle making pragmatic tradeoffs between short-time delivery needs vs long-term product goals.

  • Experience in contributing to broad technical leadership in products or services

  • Fluency in both functional and object oriented programming and the ability to pick up new languages on the go

  • A can-do attitude, and that you thrive collaborating in a team and are not afraid of taking on responsibilities

  • Demonstrated track record of operational excellence with complex distributed services

  • Ability to communicate and articulate technical concepts crisply to individual contributors and management.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience programming in Golang or Scala

  • Experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Hands-on experience architecting and optimizing massive-scale systems handling over 100s of billion requests per day or more than 1 PB of data per day.

  • Exposure to or experience with Log Management or cybersecurity products
