About the Role:
CrowdStrike is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the Finance Data and Analytics team. This role will report directly to the Manager of Data Engineering. This is a great role for an individual who is passionate about working with data and data systems and play a critical role in building finance data sources and frameworks, ensuring the scalability and reliability of our data
platform. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, and a proven ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced SaaS environment.
Location: Pune (WFO)
Shift time: 5.00 PM – 2.00 AM
What You’ll Do:
Own, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that connect various cloud data sources.
Design, build, and manage reliable data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Airflow, dbt, Python, Matillion, and Snowflake.
Develop and Maintain automation frameworks for key Finance metrics like ACV/ARR and support Month End/ Quarter End close.
Ensure our data pipelines and data warehouse are optimized for accuracy, performance, and accessibility.
Balance the development of new capabilities with the need to scale and optimize existing systems.
Monitor daily jobs and troubleshoot failures ensuring that pipelines are stable and do not break.
Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
What You’ll Need:
Experience & Expertise
5+ years in developing complex automation frameworks, queries, and extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes.
Deep Experience in scripting languages such as Python and Cloud database experience such as Snowflake
Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines (e.g., dbt, Airflow), and modern data engineering best practices.
Experience in scaling operations in high-growth environments.
Technical & Analytical Skills
Proven ability to ingest from multiple sources and produce clean, well-modeled datasets.
Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM systems
Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA
Knowledge of Finance metrics is a plus Requirements Gathering and Analysis
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and business objectives.
Participate in requirement analysis sessions to understand business needs and user requirements.
Provide technical insights and recommendations during the requirements-gathering process.
Testing and Debugging
Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of applications.
Write unit tests and validate the functionality of developed features and individual elements.
Writing integration tests to ensure different elements within a given application function as intended
and meet desired requirements.
Identify and resolve defects, code smells, and performance bottlenecks.
