As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn’t changed — we’re here to stop breaches, and we’ve redefined modern security with the world’s most advanced AI-native platform. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day and this traffic is growing daily. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We’re also a mission-driven company. We cultivate a culture that gives every CrowdStriker both the flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. We’re always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role:

CrowdStrike is seeking an experienced Software Engineer for our NG-SIEM (Next Generation Security Information and Event Management) product group to work on the LogScale platform. As a member of the Serverless team you will be working on LogScale, which is a highly distributed system that ingests 10+ petabytes of data per day. Our goals are to scale to 100s of PB of data ingress per day, while maintaining best-in-class ingest, search, and detection SLAs, as well as a best-in-class cost structure.

The team that you will be part of owns three essential parts of the LogScale infrastructure: permissions, asset management, and scheduled reports. You will help the team further innovate on modernizing and future-proofing asset and permissions management, effectively driving cost reductions across all of the LogScale fleet and allowing us to scale even further. You own systems cradle to grave, including monitoring and optimizing them in production environments as well as proactively remediating and preventing further issues. You will be part of a small, highly skilled team based in our Aarhus office, and much of your work will require close collaboration with other teams and colleagues across the CrowdStrike organisation.

Teams in NG-SIEM have a great amount of autonomy, and own a part of the NG-SIEM experience, from ideation and AI-assisted development to deployment and feedback. This includes ensuring high quality of the features they deliver, by writing automated tests, and performing manual tests. Moreover, we do not just throw over features to our operations teams, but we constantly observe and monitor new features in production.

This position is based in our Aarhus, Denmark office. Applicants must be able to commute to the Aarhus office at least 3 times a week.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work in a team of friendly, trustworthy and knowledgeable colleagues.

  • Participate in scoping, design and development of new features and lead delivery of solutions to open-ended problems.

  • Communicate technical decisions through design documents, technical talks, and improving our internal documentation.

  • Proactively identify, propose and implement optimizations to existing systems, monitoring, and processes to reduce costs, increase scale, and improve stability.

  • Collaborate within the team on delivery of new solutions and support team members through code reviews, pairing, documentation, design reviews and technical guidance

  • Monitor and followup on features released in our production environments

  • Troubleshoot critical production issues

  • Continuously strive to improve your own as well as the team’s efficiency and quality by actively leveraging AI in the development process.

  • Participate in on-call rotation (roughly every 4 weeks).

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of professional software development experience.

  • Strong programming skills, with experience in Go, Scala, or similar languages. A preference for backend development.

  • Fluency in both functional and object-oriented programming and the ability to pick up new programming languages on the go.

  • Experience with modern CI/CD practices and tools.

  • Excellence in problem-solving and communication.

  • Strong ownership mindset and team-first attitude.

  • Ability and appetite to contribute to a strong team culture, built on strong relationships with colleagues, in an environment of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

  • A passion for (or personal interest in) distributed systems and curiosity of how our running systems are doing.

  • Interest and/or experience with AI and machine learning applications in software development.

  • Fluent in English, with Danish being a bonus.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Hands-on experience with large-scale (distributed) system architecture, high scalability and availability, and optimization.

  • Experience with permissions management and/or asset management.
