About the Role:
The Logistics team is at the core of the CrowdStrike family, supporting Technical Operations to ensure seamless daily operations. The Logistics team is looking for an individual to support our Technical Operations purchasing needs. This individual will aid our production and R&D operations by collaborating across multiple departments in the sourcing and purchasing of physical assets. The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing goods, an understanding of procurement principles, familiarity with basic data center operations, cultivated in supplier management, effective communication, attention to detail and record keeping.

This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week on-site in our Sunnyvale, CA or Redmond, WA locations.
What You’ll Do:
Partner with business stakeholders to understand purchase requirements, project timelines and project dependencies
Obtain quotes and ensure costs are in line with business expectations and lead times meet production schedules
Negotiate supplier pricing, lead times and payment terms leveraging various negotiating strategies
Conduct cost analysis reviewing comparable quotes, volume pricing opportunities and market trends
Create purchase requisitions and track open order ship dates ensuring timely deliveries to meet project schedules
Evaluate supplier performance and foster positive relationships to improve quality, cost and service
Review, investigate and process invoices for payment
Partner with Finance on asset acquisition and accruals management
Participate in team meetings providing status updates or escalating issues as needed
Identify gaps in processes, repositories and applications for potential automation and process improvements
What You’ll Need:
5+ years of experience purchasing assets in a professional technical environment
Negotiation aptitude working with suppliers to ensure we are receiving the best pricing and lead times
Equipped with meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy of quotes and purchase requisitions
Creative problem-solving skills with a data driven decision making mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Collaborative with cross-functional teams
Ability to effectively prioritize workloads
Able to quickly grasp concepts and workflows in a progressive environment
Experience with the Following is Desirable:
Knowledgeable with data center assets and components, specifically: servers, network switches, storage devices
Background in logistics, fixed asset management and supplier management
Experience with Google suite (Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Gmail), Coupa, NetSuite, Jira, Slack

Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
