Description

Minute Media is a leading media technology brand focused on two main pillars—platform and content. Minute Media’s platform serves as the company’s foundation, powering its content as well as enabling the evolution of other market-leading digital media brands. To date, Minute Media’s owned and operated destinations include The Players’ Tribune, 90min, Sports Illustrated, DBLTAP, Mental Floss, The Big Lead, STN and FanSided.

We are looking for a Senior Production Coordinator who will support the day to day logistics, financials, and overall operations across various components of all branded content production. This person will:

  • Create production estimates for incoming RFPs and RFIs, ensuring estimates fit with within target margin
  • Collaborate with Producers/Directors/Creatives to understand production requirements for budgeting and provide guidance on feasibility. Create detailed budget in Movie Magic budgeting software for sold campaigns <$500K with (1-2) productions or articles per campaign
  • Assist with end-to-end logistics for digital media production (video, photo, article); encompassing crew and vendor coordination, contract management, location research, catering, transportation, hard drive shipping, on-site management (which may include traveling for 2-4 days per shoot), and file organization.
  • Assist Associate Director, Production Operations with campaigns under their respective purview
  • Identify production and post production risk, escalating questions to Production Legal to ensure production success
  • Review all post production cuts and work with post production coordinator on licensing and clearances, ensuring all documentation is in place before publishing
  • Assist Associate Director, Production Operations in the actualizing of expenses in efforts to close out budgets for finalized campaign tracking of expenses
  • Assist in the payment creation for purchase orders, and the reconciliation of company credit cards for all content captures in a timely manner
  • Help the production operations team maintain an internal database of key data points and resources as an effort to further analyze projects to achieve greater efficacy in production

  • The Creative Strategy & Production Operations team works from the office 1-2 days a week for collaboration

The expected salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $65,000. Actual pay will be determined based on skills, experience, and location. The benefits available for this position include flexible vacation policy, 15 paid holidays, paid parental leave, health insurance, 401(k) with company match.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience in a production management or similar operational role, preferably in digital media, TV, and/or film
  • Must be an organized, quick learner, and have the ability to handle multiple projects at a time, especially when your projects are in various stages
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and keep calm under pressure
  • Must possess a positive attitude and have great communication skills when speaking with both Minute Media internal and Minute Media external parties
  • Proficient knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Keynote, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiar with various software for tracking and budgeting such as Movie Magic, and willing to learn new software specific to TPT
  • Familiar with production equipment, cinema cameras, lighting, sound, post-production, etc.
  • Comfortable with travel
  • Ability to adjust usual 9-5 hours as needed
