To support our growth, we are looking for a Contract Manager Associate for our global Legal & Procurement team.

Contract Manager Associate (f/m/d)
Connected remote and based either in Amsterdam (NL) or Bonn (DE)

The Contract Manager Associate will provide support to the Legal & Procurement team. The right candidate will succeed in balancing swift execution whilst protecting the companies long term interests. You will provide support in facilitating the business in sourcing, whilst overseeing budget, compliance, and non-functional sourcing criteria. Procurement is organized as an indirect operating model. You will review and negotiate legal documents with suppliers and customers, and provide support in answering and creating questionnaires and RFPs. You will have a chance to work closely not only with the Legal team and the Head of Procurement, but also with business owners, Accounts Payable, IT, Risk, and other departments.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • You will divide your time between the legal and procurement function; in practice this may fluctuate somewhat depending on business requirements;
  • You will review and negotiate NDAs and contracts with suppliers and customers;
  • Once you are settled in, act as go to person for questions around sourcing, contracts and documents;
  • Support the business in answering and managing RFPs;
  • Ad-hoc market benchmarking and business support in operational sourcing
  • Shephard the ‘GreenIX’ sustainability compass throughout our sourcing and legal activities
  • Ensure our centralized contract repository is complete and logically ordered;
  • You will identify savings opportunities across selected spend categories, and act on them;
  • From time to time, you are requested to be involved in projects, e.g. spend analysis, business process changes;
  • Contribute to Legal & Procurement visibility;
  • Provide deal structure guidance and recommendations to business owners with creative and out of the box thinking.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR YOU?

  • The intrinsic motivation to thrive in your role as Contract Manager Associate and accomplish tangible results;
  • At least 3-5 years of previous comparable work experience (e.g. in Legal, Procurement);
  • Experience with a SaaS/Software company;
  • Networking mindset, this is not an isolated role and does require reaching out to stakeholders and vendors;
  • Experience in negotiating contractual documents;
  • Strong analytical, data-driven and problem-solving skills;
  • Comfortable with ambiguity associated with a fast-moving business and international environment;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to adapt and multitask while understanding priorities;
  • Previous experience with Atlassian Confluence & JIRA, Ironclad, Workday (ERP and P2P), or Contract Management systems is a plus;
  • A start-up mentality; a willingness to roll up your sleeves, think creatively, prioritize effectively and get the job done;
  • Occasional travel abroad may be required;
  • Full professional proficiency in English and basic command of German; professional proficiency of German is a strong plus.
