Why this role matters

At Hoxhunt, reliability is not a support function, it is a product enabler. As we scale globally, every release, every system interaction, and every user experience depends on infrastructure that is secure, resilient, and always available. This role is critical in making that possible. You will ensure our platform can grow without friction, enabling teams to move fast while safeguarding trust, compliance, and performance at every step.

What you’ll do

• Own the reliability and scalability of our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform

• Lead the evolution of Kubernetes-based environments across development and production

• Partner with product, platform, and security teams to enable fast, safe, and repeatable deployments

• Build and operate observability systems that provide real-time insight and actionable signals

• Drive proactive reliability improvements by identifying and eliminating risks early

• Deliver automation that reduces manual work and increases engineering velocity

• Improve and scale global production environments in a compliance-heavy landscape

• Support and mentor teams in adopting SRE and DevOps best practices

• Collaborate across engineering to embed security, resilience, and reliability by default

What success looks like

During your first 3 months, you’ll get into our systems and architecture, contribute to infrastructure improvements, and actively support reliability and incident response efforts.

By month 6, you’ll own key areas of our infrastructure, deliver measurable improvements in observability and automation, and enable teams to ship with greater confidence.

What helps you thrive at Hoxhunt

You have:

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or similar infrastructure-focused roles

• Strong experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure also relevant)

• Hands-on experience running Kubernetes in production

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm, Kustomize)

• Strong knowledge of modern CI/CD and cloud-native ecosystems

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or Python)

• Deep understanding of distributed systems and systems thinking

• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production incidents and drive resolution

• Comfort working cross-functionally and guiding teams toward reliable engineering practices

• AI-native mindset: you actively use AI tools (LLMs, agents) in your daily workflows to accelerate problem-solving, automation, and delivery — while applying strong judgment, validation, and security best practices

Bonus points if you also:

• Have built or owned observability platforms at scale

• Have experience in regulated or compliance-heavy environments

• Have worked in fast-growing SaaS or scale-up environments

• Enjoy simplifying complex systems and improving developer experience

Who you’ll work with

You’ll join a high-ownership SRE team operating at the intersection of platform, product, and security. The team combines strong technical depth with a collaborative, low-ego mindset. Feedback is direct, support is real, and success is shared. You’ll work closely with engineers across Hoxhunt, helping them build, ship, and scale reliably while continuously learning from one another.

Compensation: Monthly salary of €6500–€7500 depending on your experience.

Working ways: We work in a flexible, but hybrid work setting. You are expected to visit the Helsinki office weekly.
