Your Mission

As our IT & Security Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of keeping every Hoxhunter productive, connected, and secure. You’ll provide hands-on IT support, manage devices and tools, and monitor security systems for our Helsinki and US offices. This is a role where no two days are the same — you’ll balance solving technical challenges, improving processes, and protecting our people and data. With your expertise, you’ll help ensure that security is not just a process, but part of our culture.

What You’ll Do

IT Operations

• Provide daily support for macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, and other devices.
• Set up hardware, software, and accounts for new hires.
• Administer M365 / Azure / Google environments across multiple domains.
• Manage procurement: request quotes, process purchase orders, and coordinate deliveries.
• Maintain accurate technical and asset documentation.

Security

• Monitor and analyze security logs from Microsoft security tools for threats and trends.
• Detect, respond to, and remediate endpoint & identity threats using EDR/XDR, IdP/Conditional Access controls, and RMM.
• Deliver security training to employees and new hires.
• Support SOC 2 Type II compliance activities with the IT & Security Manager.
• Manage secure offboarding of systems and devices.

Collaboration

• Partner with the IT & Security Manager on projects and process improvements.
• Share knowledge and best practices across the company.

Tech You’ll Work With

You’ll work with a modern, cloud-first environment spanning multi-OS endpoints (macOS, Windows, iOS, Android), cloud productivity (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace), collaboration (Slack, Teams, Zoom), and enterprise-grade security solutions—such as SIEM,SOAR, EDR/XDR, ZTNA, MDM, RMM, and CASB—plus enterprise identity (Entra ID), all deployed globally in our devices.

Our Helsinki HQ will be your home base. While we have a flexible remote work policy, you need to have the ability to visit the office weekly.

The salary range for this role is 4200 - 4500€.

What You Bring

• An IT-related degree or relevant professional experience with 5+ years in IT Support, IT Service Desk, or similar roles.
• Strong skills in both macOS and Windows environments, including proficiency in Entra ID and Microsoft mobile device management.
• An information security mindset and willingness to continuously learn.
• Experience in planning and executing IT projects.
• Ability to adapt to rapid changes and unexpected challenges.
• A resilient, solution-oriented mindset and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• A team-oriented, friendly, can-do attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish.
• Bonus points for scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, KQL) and experience with security tools such as EDR, ZTNA, and RMM solutions.

What Success Looks Like

60 Days – Learn & Assist

• Complete onboarding and security training.
• Learn our tools, processes, and team workflows.
• Assist with IT support and onboarding tasks.

90 Days – Operate Independently

• Resolve IT tickets and complete setups independently.
• Manage onboarding/offboarding processes solo.
• Monitor security tools and escalate or remediate issues.

120 Days – Take Ownership

• Own specific IT/Security responsibilities.
• Lead a small project from start to finish.
• Train others on IT and security best practices.
