Overview of the role

As HR Coordinator you will work closely with the HR Business Partner to help manage the logistics and smooth running of Garrison’s HR department. This will include producing confidential documentation, maintaining our HR system, sending out regular company wide communications and ensuring all employee benefits are up to date. You will also work with other departments requiring a collaborative mindset and personable demeanour.

We are looking for someone who prides themselves on a high level of attention to detail and a notable can do attitude. The ideal candidate will be happy to juggle multiple tasks and immerse themselves in the Garrison culture. As a rapidly growing and agile company there is plenty of room for personal development and you will receive the support you need to shape your role and develop professionally at Garrison.

This opportunity is offered as a 12-month fixed term contract.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting all standard HR related queries throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Processing new starters and managing the exit process, completing relevant paperwork.
  • Coordinating the new starter induction process and arranging exit interviews.
  • Ensuring the timely processing of payroll activities, including managing absences, change of details, incentive payments.
  • Administering staff benefits.
  • Supporting on employee relations activities, providing procedural advice and guidance.
  • Maintaining the HR systems and employee files and ensuring organisation charts are kept up to date.
  • Formalising employee life cycle changes, such as job title changes, benefit changes, compensation, line management etc.
  • Preparing letters and responding to requests such as reference requests and bank letters.
  • Monitoring and the completion of probationary reviews.
  • Validating, checking, inputting and collecting data to maintain the HR System.
  • Supporting the HR team with annual processes, such as pay reviews, annual bonus payments, employee surveys etc.
  • Assisting with training course scheduling across the teams at Garrison.
  • Circulating HR updates, policy changes and surveys to all employees.
  • Administering employee surveys and producing summary reports as requested.
  • Supporting the HR team with ad hoc matters and projects.
  • Recognising the industry that Garrison operates in, and appreciating the importance of following Garrison's information security policies.

Skills and experience

  • You’ll be perfect if you have the following experience/skills -
  • Previous experience within an HR Administrative capacity is essential.
  • High level of organisation is essential in order to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Attention to detail in forms of communication.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Eagerness to work in a highly collaborative environment and support both individual and team objectives.
  • Detail oriented, highly organised with a creative approach to problem solving.
  • Collaborative with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • You are self-motivated, adaptable, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • You are calm under pressure and maintain a diplomatic manner even when being challenged.

And the following would be a massive bonus! -

  • CIPD qualification and/or related HR-related degree.
  • Previous experience in B2B tech or cybersecurity organisation(s).
