Role description:

As a Finance Business Partner at Fonoa, your role is not just about crunching numbers; it's about crafting stories that guide our strategic decisions, fueling Fonoa's growth and innovation, all while reporting directly to the Head of Finance. You will act as a financial compass guiding us towards success, ensuring our strategies are not only ambitious but grounded in solid financial logic. Initially focusing on partnering with our Revenue team, this role will expand to support various departments within Fonoa, including Product, Engineering and People.

What you will do :

  • Strategic Financial Planning: Work closely with department heads to develop and refine financial strategies that support Fonoa's business objectives. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize performance and drive growth.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process with department leads, ensuring financial plans align with strategic goals. Monitor and report on variances to guide necessary adjustments.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities. Prepare and present regular financial reports, offering actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Business Performance: Collaborate with department leads to establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to financial performance. Identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to achieve financial targets.
  • Cost Management: Work with teams across the business to identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality or performance.
  • Investment Appraisal: Evaluate potential investments, including new product developments and market expansions, to assess financial viability and alignment with Fonoa's strategic objectives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the company, acting as a trusted advisor on financial matters. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive financial and operational excellence.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure financial practices comply with regulatory requirements and company policies. Assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.

You will be a great fit if you have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of post-qualified business partner experience in a B2B SaaS environment, with a proven track record of supporting Mid-Market and/or Enterprise segments.
  • Strong analytical skills and expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into clear, concise insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Experience with financial systems and tools, as well as proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
