Mission

As the Lead Mainframe Solution Architect, you will be responsible for leading our mainframe team within the product engineering department. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our mainframe solutions, leveraging your expertise to drive innovation and ensure the highest level of performance and reliability.

Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our sales team, providing technical expertise and support in Pre-sales activities to help drive business growth.

This is what you will be contributing to:

  • Lead and manage a team of mainframe engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership.
  • Develop and maintain mainframe solutions that integrate with our AI-powered platform for digital modernization.
  • Work closely with product management to define requirements and priorities for mainframe-related features and enhancements.
  • Drive innovation in mainframe technologies, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, and quality assurance, to ensure the successful delivery of mainframe solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team during presales activities, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution architecture design.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on mainframe technologies, both internally and externally, representing the company at conferences, industry events, and customer meetings.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and methodologies, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and quality in our mainframe solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between the mainframe team and other departments within the organization, fostering collaboration and communication.

Experience & skill set you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in mainframe development and architecture, with a strong understanding of IBM Z systems and related technologies.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Expertise in programming languages commonly used in the mainframe environment, such as COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, and JCL.
  • Deep understanding of mainframe databases, such as DB2 and IMS, and experience with data management and optimization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with customers.
  • Experience in pre-sales activities, including technical demonstrations, presentations, and solution architecture design, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Certifications in mainframe technologies, such as IBM Certified System Administrator or IBM Certified Application Developer, are a plus.
  • Passion for technology and innovation, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
