Flatpay, a dynamic and growing company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in France. This role is vital to our financial operations and requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong technical expertise.
What you'll do
  • Assist with daily bookkeeping and ensure accurate, timely entries.
  • Process supplier invoices and general expenses; help maintain accounts payable records.
  • Support customer invoicing and help maintain accounts receivable follow‑up.
  • Help prepare documentation for VAT reporting and ensure basic compliance with local tax requirements (with guidance).
  • Contribute to month‑end tasks: reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of supporting schedules.
  • Collaborate with BI and Sales to gather inputs for payroll (incl. commission data) and coordinate with our payroll provider as needed.
  • Maintain organized financial files and support internal/external audits by preparing requested documentation.
  • Participate in process improvements and cross‑team initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Who you are
To succeed in this role, we are looking for candidates with:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in accounting, AP/AR, or an internship/alternance in a similar role.
  • Fluent in French and comfortable in English (written and spoken).
  • Solid Excel skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles; exposure to VAT concepts is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central (or another ERP) is an advantage.
  • Detail‑oriented, reliable, and proactive; eager to learn and thrive in a collaborative setting.
