Working at Flatpay you’ll be joining small, but growing, team of engineers. You’ll be working on developing and improving our current payment and point-of-sale solutions to our customers.

You’ll have the opportunity to working in a startup that is taking off. There will be lots of possibilities to put theory to practice as we onboard more customers and expand into more countries. You’ll be able to take responsibility and have a direct impact on the solutions we provide.

You title will be Senior Software Engineer and you will be reporting to our Head of Engineering.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and write maintainable, scalable and testable solutions
• Improve and maintain existing payment, point-of-sale and internal systems
• Work with the team to develop and test new functionality and improvements
• Continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure
• Collaborate with product team to define and breakdown new projects into workable tasks
• Lead projects with the team
• Drive the adoption of best practices in code quality, security, and design.
• Help, mentor, and provide technical guidance to the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Participate in architectural decisions

Your skills

5+ years of experience in Software Engineering

Relevant IT or Computer Science degree

Fluent written and spoken Danish

Experience in Payments is preferable, but not required

You have experience in several of our day-to-day tools:

• JavaScript, Typescript, React, Html, CSS
• Jest, Playwright
• GitHub Actions, CircleCI
• AWS S3, Cloudflare
• i18n, feature flags, Code Review, git, Github, CI/CD
