Internship goal

Create a new type of chart (from scratch).

Detailed description

Today Dataiku Data Science Studio (DSS) allows Data scientists and Data analysts to build charts to explore data or highlight important information found in data.

Dataiku DSS comes with many available chart types: line, bar, scatter plot, maps, etc. However, some Dataiku users would like more chart types to better convey their data investigations - like bullet, waterfall, or calendar.

During this internship, you will:

Get familiar with Dataiku, its charting capabilities, its charting backend engine written in Java, and its JavaScript frontend relying on d3.js, ECharts, and Angular.
Implement requested features
Eventually suggest other possible enhancements
Celebrate and party because our beloved users would then be able to use new kinds of charts

Frontend: Angular, ECharts, HTML, CSS

Backend: Java / Spring
