We are looking for a Manager, People Business Partner to join our team in APJ to oversee all People related topics for Dataikers based in Singapore, Australia, India, Japan and Korea. Your team includes a People Business Partner, Japan & Korea (based in Japan) reporting directly to you. This role reports to the VP, People Business Partners.
The main challenges you will have to face include but are not limited to:
How to identify, retain and develop people who will contribute to reinforce our teams and bring added value with their diverse experiences
How to support the team and the local leadership as we scale and devise the most efficient and enabling organization in terms of team size, work distribution and ways of working
How to ensure sustained efficiency, cohesion and team building while navigating in a largely remote world
How to create and maintain engagement and cultural fit with our philosophy and core values
The successful candidate will be in a position to adapt smoothly and quickly in a multi-cultural and largely tech-driven global environment, ensure compliance with our People processes and local requirements, while partnering with managers and employees to ensure continuous engagement including effective performance management. This candidate will also act as a true team player and work in close coordination with the People Centers of Excellence (i.e. People Operations, People Systems, Total Rewards, Culture, & Talent Acquisition).
What you’ll do
Partner with the Global PBP team and the APJ business leaders to develop an overall fit for purpose APJ people strategy
Support managers and employees as a People Business Partner
Leverage data to make informed decisions about people-related matters
Facilitate Change Management initiatives across the region
Provide support and coaching to all managers and employees as part of their professional development
Implement and facilitate the adoption of People tools and processes (i.e. performance management, compensation planning, launch of key learning programs, etc.)
Manage employee relations and provide guidance towards conflict resolution
Partner with management, Culture teams and more specifically our Office Management team to engage employees and boost team spirit
Ensure our compliance with applicable local labor laws and regulations (statutory documents, employee files, etc)
Who you are
10+ years of HR experience
Experience as a People Business Partner is a must
Strong analytical skills and mindset
Regional experience including strong knowledge of employment laws
Experience working / studying / living abroad preferred
