About the Role
The Commercial Vendor Manager will oversee the entire vendor lifecycle management, ensuring seamless onboarding, contract finalization, and alignment with CG’s standards. They will handle contract oversight by monitoring adherence to terms, resolving disputes, renegotiating commercials, and benchmarking against market standards. This role also involves fostering strategic relationships with vendors and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) across the Americas and parts of EMEA, driving shared success and reinforcing partnerships.
Additionally, the manager will monitor vendor performance, analyzing SLAs and KPIs, and implementing initiatives for continuous improvement. They will identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency, support effective cost management, and lead process improvement initiatives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements is also a key responsibility.

What will your day look like? You will...

  • Own the end-to-end process of new vendors’ onboarding: identification, assessment, SOW finalization, commercials and contract negotiation, ensuring alignment with CG's standards and the impacted teams.
  • Drive effective contract management, monitoring adherence to terms, conditions and resolve any contract-related disputes. Proactively review the commercials of the existing vendors and TPAs and recurrently renegotiate with them and run analysis against the market to be up to date with the benchmark. Formulate and implement strategies to optimize commercials, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Foster collaborative and communicative relationships with vendors and TPAs, driving shared success and reinforcing a culture of partnership. You will be the main point of contact and manage the account for all the vendors across Americas and part of EMEA.
  • Monitor the vendor performance monthly, analyze the SLAs, KPIs, work with the required teams and implement initiatives for continuous improvement. Ensure vendors are providing the required reports in a timely manner.
  • Proactively identify opportunities where we can leverage external vendors to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency. Provide guidance to the claims team to support effective cost management.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current processes and lead initiatives to enhance productivity, accuracy, and profitability. Collaborate with vendors and TPAs, along with the required CG teams to drive enhancements in processes, products, and services, aligning them closely with CG's evolving requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Customer teams, Partner Services, Insurance, Legal, Compliance, etc, to support business objectives and resolve operational issues, along with ensuring the adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies, mitigating operational risks.

To help us level up, you'll ideally have:

  • Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiation and commercial operations or related roles within the industry. Fostering and maintaining strategic relationships with vendors and TPAs.
  • Track record of identifying process inefficiencies and leading initiatives for improvement with vendors and TPAs, across multiple countries, diverse cultures, and in different languages. Hands-on experience in implementing operational strategies and driving transformational change through innovation and technology.
  • Cost Optimization: Demonstrated ability to identify and implement cost-saving measures and operational efficiencies, through external TPAs or vendors.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing vendor performance metrics and market benchmarks
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications preferred.

Salary Range
The base salary range for this role is between $122,000 and $140,000. The total compensation package also includes equity, and the opportunity for additional earnings through our annual bonus or variable commission plans.
