  • In this essential role, you will report to Collibra’s Senior Manager of Web Development and work closely with our UX/UI, development and production teams. Web Designers at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Proficiently designing and delivering pixel-perfect renditions of components, pages, and user interfaces, demonstrating an impeccable eye for detail, precision for developer handoff
  • Showcase a comprehensive and nuanced grasp of design principles, including typography, color theory, layout, composition, and spatial design, and apply these concepts to craft visually compelling and functionally optimized solutions in all design projects
  • Ensuring all existing and future web pages, components, elements and digital assets adhere to Collibra’s style and brand guidelines (logo, color palettes, textures, photography, etc.)
  • Partnering with our internal UX Specialist and agency, translating wireframe and prototypes into visually appealing and intuitive user interface designs
  • Developing and maintaining cross-functional partnerships with key stakeholders (internal teams, including Brand and Creative, Product Marketing, Experiential, etc. and external agencies)

You have:

  • 7-8 years of experience working in the field of web design
  • Advanced understanding of design, including development of systems, color theory, composition, hierarchy, typography, responsiveness, accessibility, iconography, and spatial design principles
  • Online portfolio highlighting multiple projects and direct contributions in the field of web design
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Figma, and other design tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of web languages, and especially CSS and component-based design systems
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to think conceptually and collaborate with a diverse set of team members and business partners to refine business concepts and abstract ideas into clear and compelling deliverables through all stages of the creative process
  • Bachelor’s degree in art, design or equivalent related working experience is required
  • Experience working in web design in/for a software company or marketing division preferred
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

You are:

  • Collaborative, as you will work as part of our Web team, partnering closely with a UX specialist, developers, a production manager and project manager, and also with external stakeholders.
  • A strong communicator who can effectively communicate and explain design concepts, understand project requirements, and negotiate changes.
  • Passionate about continuous learning due to the constant evolution in the design field and emergence of new trends and technologies.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment: The Digital Marketing team juggles many projects and initiatives and the front-end designer should be able to successfully manage multiple projects at any given time and be adaptable to reprioritization when needed.

Measures of success:

  • Within your first month, you will have met with key stakeholders in Marketing and have familiarized yourself with Collibra’s design system and brand guidelines, as well as the company’s product and service portfolio in order to understand how best to create and implement designs across our digital properties
  • Within your third month, you will have established working relationships with our design agency and internal developers, moving most design in-house
  • Within your sixth month, you will have worked with our team leadership and UX designer to identify larger initiatives, working independently to help elevate and expand the scope of the team’s work
