Senior Azure DevOps Engineer
As a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer, you will take a leadership role in architecting, designing, implementing, and managing sophisticated development and deployment processes for cloud-based applications using Microsoft Azure services. You will work closely with development teams, system architects, security engineers, and other stakeholders to drive the adoption of modern DevOps practices, ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions. Your expertise in Azure DevOps tools, cloud infrastructure, automation, and best practices will be critical in optimising the entire software development lifecycle and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for complex Azure-based applications, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, developers, and security engineers, to define the DevOps strategy and roadmap for automation, testing, and deployment.
- Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers in adopting best practices, improving their technical skills, and providing support in troubleshooting and resolving deployment or configuration issues.
- Implement and optimize the monitoring and performance management of Azure infrastructure, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and adherence to SLAs across large-scale deployments.
- Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles by developing and managing automated provisioning and configuration systems using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.
- Drive innovation in cloud operations by staying current with emerging Azure services and industry trends, recommending and implementing modern technologies and practices to enhance the organization's DevOps maturity.
- Establish and enforce security best practices for DevOps pipelines and cloud infrastructure, ensuring that all automated deployments comply with company security policies, data protection, and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline application release processes, automating manual tasks and reducing deployment times while maintaining quality and stability.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to deployment, configuration, and environment setup within Azure, providing expertise and leadership in resolving critical incidents and root-cause analysis.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, DevOps workflows, deployment guides, and operational procedures.
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis efforts, and proactively enhance resilience by analyzing post-incident data and introducing preventive measures.
- Participate in on-call rotations, providing senior-level support for production deployments, incidents, and escalations, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure DevOps pipelines meet compliance standards, incorporating security testing and continuous compliance audits.
- Providing guidance and help to customers for complex infrastructure such as 0 trust
- Help the customer to setup their CI/CD pipeline to work with CluedIn
- Provide and deliver infrastructure customization of CluedIn installer based on the needs of the customer

Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience delivering multiple complex projects, ideally within technology, software, or SaaS environments.
- Strong communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Calm under pressure, skilled at managing competing priorities and driving results.
- Deep expertise in architecting, deploying, and managing production-grade Kubernetes environments on Azure. This includes cluster design, scaling strategies, workload management, security hardening, ingress configuration, and operational monitoring of containerised workloads supporting enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Strong experience designing and implementing secure Azure network architectures, including Virtual Networks, subnet segmentation, private endpoints, service endpoints, network security groups, Azure Firewall, and hybrid connectivity patterns such as VPN and ExpressRoute. Ability to design secure multi-environment architectures aligned with Zero Trust principles.
- Advanced knowledge of Azure platform services and cloud architecture patterns required to support highly available, scalable, and secure SaaS environments. This includes identity integration (Azure AD), resource governance, cost optimisation, and environment isolation strategies.

Demonstrated expertise through relevant industry certifications such as: - Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
