💼 About the Role

We are hiring a Commercial Underwriter, UK & Europe to develop and enhance broker relationships.

Following the exponential growth across the business over the last 12 months, we are seeking an underwriter to keep pace with enquiries while also capturing the wider opportunities within Europe.

The successful candidate will contribute premium income towards the annual targets and be a reliable team member for our existing clients and broking network

🔥 Key Responsibilities

• Assist and lead broker-driven commercial efforts across UK & Europe.
• Support Bondaval with forging strong relationships with brokers and clients on renewals and new business opportunities.
• Partner with our internal product and technology team to further enhance the experience for our brokers and clients.
• Manage pricing discussions and deal negotiations, while building out a client portfolio.
• Deliver broker meetings across the UK & Europe and pitch Bondaval’s offering for new business opportunities.
• Gather local European intelligence to help identify regions to grow Bondaval’s footprint.

😊 About You

Required:

• 5+ years’ experience in trade credit, ideally within underwriting.
• Strong understanding of trade credit products (Excess of Loss, Ground up, Named Buyer).
• Existing trade credit broker network.
• Unwavering work ethic; being comfortable in a high-growth business.
• Strong organisational, analytical and presentational skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with underwriting financial institution portfolios, structured credit products.
• Risk underwriting experience.
