About the role:

Bondaval is at an exciting inflection point. A landmark global insurance partnership, a growing international client base and an expanding product suite mean the operational backbone of the business has never been more important.

We are looking for an Operations Manager to own and drive the day-to-day operational engine that keeps our deal flow moving, our compliance obligations met, and our business running smoothly. This is a broad, cross-functional role for someone who is comfortable being hands-on and executing, whilst having the ability to fully own and scale end-to-end operations at a high-growth global insurtech.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, taking direct ownership of two core pillars: Commercial Operations (onboarding new clients, renewals) and Business Operations (compliance oversight, licensing and general operations). The role has a global remit — you will work with and support teams across the UK, US, DACH and Canada, and will be expected to develop a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, processes and stakeholders across all of our operating jurisdictions.

Responsibilities:

Commercial Operations

Deal flow

  • Own end-to-end operational execution related to all deals, including completing the necessary regulatory, ESG, KYC and CDD checks, audit trails and underwriting platform integrity
  • Proactively identify and lead process improvements across the deal lifecycle, raising the bar on efficiency, auditability and scalability, leveraging the Bondaval platform, technology and AI where appropriate
  • Support Commercial, Underwriting and Legal teams with operational tasks and questions across jurisdictions


Deal renewals

  • Track and manage the renewals pipeline, coordinating approvals, documentation and compliance checks across internal stakeholders


Claims

  • Coordinate with Legal, Finance and Underwriting on all regulatory and contractual claims obligations
  • Monitor recovery progress across the portfolio, liaising with external agencies and partners as required


Business Operations

General operations

  • Manage BAU operational items, such as business insurances, visa sponsorship licence and office contracts across all locations
  • Own and manage relationships with multiple external vendors and third-party service providers, ensuring performance and value across the portfolio
  • Drive improvements to increase efficiency, transparency and knowledge-transfer across the business, in particular relating to global operations and compliance


Regulations and compliance

  • Work closely with Legal and Compliance to maintain oversight of global regulatory requirements across all operating jurisdictions, ensuring the business remains compliant as it grows
  • Maintain global policies, procedures and registries; oversee mandatory training compliance
  • Manage global regulatory licences, including maintenance, renewals and new applications
  • Lead reporting and audit support, acting as a key point of contact for regulators and external auditors where required



You might be a good fit if you have:

  • 5+ years in an operational role within insurance, credit or a related regulated fintech environment
  • Familiarity with trade credit insurance, MGAs, delegated authority or B2B insurance operations
  • Hands-on experience with compliance workflows, such as KYC, CDD, ESG, regulatory filings
  • Experience operating across multiple jurisdictions and navigating international regulatory frameworks
  • A track record of introducing and/or improving operational processes — not just inheriting and maintaining them
  • Proven ability to work effectively with external vendors and advisors
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work fluidly across different teams and confidence to influence senior stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with competing deadlines
  • A low-ego, collaborative working style — willingness to get things done without needing to own the spotlight
  • Comfortable embracing new technology and ways of working — you see tools, automation and AI as enablers and actively seek out better ways of doing things
