Job Summary

Bondaval is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the development and scale-up of our SaaS credit insurance platform. This platform serves underwriters, MGAs, actuaries, and capital partners across the insurance and credit risk ecosystem. You’ll take ownership of platform delivery as it evolves from internal tool to externalised SaaS solution – driving roadmap, execution, and strategy to meet the needs of global insurers and reinsurers.

This is a hands-on product leadership role with significant opportunity to shape the future of credit risk infrastructure. You'll work at the intersection of insurance, technology, and data to deliver a best-in-class underwriting and exposure management solution.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Ownership & Execution

  • Lead the product roadmap and delivery of our B2B SaaS platform focused on credit and surety risk aggregation, capacity management, and delegated authority workflows.
  • Define product milestones for real-time risk visibility, limit setting, and actuarial reporting workflows.

Client-Facing Development

  • Partner directly with insurers and capital partners to define their use cases (e.g. real-time aggregate tracking, risk simulations, delegated approval controls).
  • Translate enterprise needs into scalable SaaS features and implementation timelines.

Risk, Data, and Workflow Enablement

  • Work with risk, data science, and engineering teams to embed automated risk onboarding, entity matching, and exposure analytics.
  • Ensure platform enables auditable, rule-based workflows for pre-bind approval, appetite breach alerts, and actuarial exports.

Multi-Tenant SaaS Strategy

  • Develop user role and access models to support multiple organisations within a shared environment while ensuring data segregation and compliance.
  • Drive product standardisation while supporting bespoke client needs via modular components.

Product Operations & Quality

  • Implement metrics-driven product processes with attention to SLA performance, data integrity, and platform resilience.
  • Establish governance practices around release cycles, custom features, and feedback loops (e.g. Customer Advisory Panels).
  • Define product milestones for real-time risk visibility, limit setting, and actuarial reporting workflows.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience:
    • 7+ years of experience in product management.
    • Proven track record as a product leader, managing teams and delivering enterprise SaaS solutions.
    • Previous experience at a startup or scale-up, ideally in the enterprise SaaS space.
    • Previous experience that aligns to the credit insurance industry, be it fintech, financial services, risk platforms or others.
  • Skills:
    • Developing leadership and mentoring skills, with the desire to grow and manage high-performing teams.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
    • Expertise in managing zero to one product lifecycles
  • Attributes:
    • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in fast-paced environments.
    • Passion for innovation and technology with a focus on delivering customer value.
    • Ability to go deep into detail with a quality mindset.
