About the Role:

In this pivotal role, you will navigate the critical balance between effective asset recovery and maintaining strong, long-term customer partnerships. You will be the driving force behind our collections strategy, safeguarding Billie’s financial stability while ensuring a fair and professional experience for our clients.

We're seeking a commercially-minded and empathetic professional who excels at making data-informed decisions in challenging situations. Your expertise will not only enhance our recovery rates but also refine our processes, directly contributing to Billie’s bottom line and our reputation as a trusted financial partner.

• You will take full ownership of a dynamic B2B portfolio, acting as its strategic steward to safeguard Billie's financial health by prioritising and resolving overdue accounts.

• You will architect and deploy sophisticated, multi-channel collection strategies, mastering the art of negotiation to secure resolutions while preserving valuable customer relationships.

• You will act as a process pioneer, identifying and implementing opportunities for automation and improvement that will shape the future of our collections operations and boost team performance.

• You will transform raw data into actionable insights, analyzing key performance metrics to tell the story behind the numbers and guide the evolution of our recovery strategy.

• You will serve as a critical link between our customers and internal teams (Sales, Data Science, Legal, etc.), acting as a key problem-solver to navigate complex scenarios and champion a positive customer journey.

Who we are looking for:

• 4+ years of professional experience in collections, credit management, or a similar role, with a strong preference for B2B environments.

• A proven track record of developing and executing successful recovery strategies for a diverse portfolio of accounts.

• Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills, with the ability to be both firm and empathetic.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions, monitor performance, and optimize collection tactics.

• A customer-centric mindset, skilled at preserving valuable business relationships even in difficult financial discussions.

• A proactive and resilient problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced FinTech environment.

• Professional fluency in German is a significant advantage.
