About the role:

  • Responsible for overseeing Billie managed merchants portfolio and driving top-line growth, including Total Payment Volume, Revenue, Take-Rate, and Transaction Margin.
  • Manage team of Key Account Managers, hire and grow the team to support Billie rapidly expanding network of acceptance and country footprint.
  • Define portfolio and account-level growth strategy in close collaboration with Billie sales, marketing, operations, risk and product teams.
  • Develop and execute cross-selling and upselling strategies, including promoting new payment solutions, expanding country coverage, and fostering buyer engagement through co-marketing initiatives.
  • Drive pipeline of business opportunities through up and cross sell e.g. new payment solutions, expansion of country coverage, buyer engagement, co-marketing,
  • Manage end-to-end merchant relationships, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, such as payment performance, share of checkout, risk management, reporting, and operating reviews.
  • Address escalated client issues promptly, leveraging available resources and ensuring satisfactory outcomes.
  • Nurture relationships with customers and establish yourself as a thought leader in the industry.
  • Represent Billie at client meetings and industry events, showcasing our expertise and forging new partnerships.

Who we are looking for:

  • 10+ years of experience in account management or client success management.
  • 4+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing teams.
  • Background in payments, e-commerce, or software.
  • Proven track record in hiring, developing, and growing teams, with a focus on coaching, enabling success, and providing feedback.
  • Strong relationship builder with the ability to establish and deepen connections at all levels within client organizations.
  • Excellent business acumen, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities, with a proficiency in leveraging data to inform decision-making and accurate forecasting.
  • Effective project manager, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively, and delivering under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and international environment.
  • Native German speaker with fluent English language skills.
  • Currently located in Berlin or willing to relocate.
